Aircraft cemetery by GÁBOR KEREKES.
This reminds me of the scene in Underworld by Don DeLillo where two of the characters (I’m not sure which ones, as this book is fairly expansive and complex) fly over an aircraft cemetery in a hot air balloon.
In an earlier chapter, an artist, Klara Sax, is given permission to paint an airfield full of ‘dead’ planes and apparently, these form an image when the balloonists see the site from the sky.
